Consulting the stars in 2012.......

Happy New Year!

Here is an interesting website where you can obtain an astrological report that represents your unique picture at the time your were born and at the place you were born..... for free!

http://alabe.com

It's best to input not only the day your were born but the exact time and place. I had to consult my birth certificate because I had forgotten the exact time of my birth.

99.9% of my astrological report was right on!

It was so interesting to me to read through this information. This is a paragraph that was most impressive to me. The pink font is my "take away".

You tend to absorb the energy of others -- so avoid those who are always negative (stay away from negative people).

You have a rich, creative and lively imagination, but you should be careful not to spend all your time daydreaming (send those stories off to a publisher, host that yoga retreat you've been imagining, learn to paint, etc.).

Very intuitive, you have good ESP and may be quite clairvoyant or psychic. Remember that you too have the right to get what you want from life (take this year to figure out what is really important and to discover what I want to do for the next 10 years).

I have felt in the last year very thoughtful about turning 60 years old in one year. I'm on a one year journey to define what it is I'd like to do, how I'd like to spend my time and not spend my time. That is the inspiration for this blog.

Consulting the stars is a great way to start this journey.

Since I learned a lot from my astrological report I decided to check out a 2012 overview for Capricorns. Even though I don't understand what some of this means (18 year shedding process that Pluto requires) I am amazed at how relevant this is to me.

This came from  http://shine.yahoo.com/page/2012-horoscope

Year 2012 Overview

The confusion of 2011 is about to lift as clarity returns in 2012. You've no doubt been through a series of powerful metamorphoses since 2008, when Pluto took possession of your stars for the long haul. You're not even a quarter of the way through the 18-year shedding process that Pluto requires ... and yet you're not the same person you were just a few years ago by any stretch of the imagination. In some ways, you can expect this year to be a long, dramatic pause. You'll be questioning many aspects of your existence, especially your professional life. Mars, the planet of work and action, will be retrograde for the first quarter of the year in your house of higher learning and travel, putting you in a deeply introspective and philosophical mode. During this time, you'll be less inclined to hit the road than you will be to hit the books.
When the eclipse patterns stir up the winds of change for you again in spring and summer, you'll experience some major epiphanies about the new direction you need to take. The new Moon solar eclipse in your work sector brings a fresh approach to the way you go about your daily routine. And then, the full Moon lunar eclipse of June in your dream sector will bring the muse and vision to inspire you to go beyond the known. The total solar eclipse and new Moon in your goal sector in November is the final push to plant radically new seeds. There's no question that you're leaving your old life behind; it's now just a matter of faithfully emerging into the new.
Love is in the air with generous Jupiter in sister Earth sign Taurus, showering your romantic sector until June. The planet of fortune will provide ample opportunities for you to fall in love with someone new - or simply love the one you're with. Pleasure becomes a key theme for the first half of the year, providing a nice balance to your normal dutiful life.
I'm planning to plug some of this in to my calendar and use it as a tool for growth.
Anyway, I wanted to share this with you - you may want to do the same research.
Happy New Years friends. I'm reaching out over the cyber world to give you a giant New Year's hug.
All good wishes for you,
Donna Rae
